# A Builder’s Notebook: Finding the Rhythm to Finish What We Start
_It’s one thing to have a God-given dream, but it’s another thing to build a life that can actually hold it. Today, I’m reflecting on how we bridge that gap with a little order and a lot of heart._

## Where I am today

I’ve been sitting with a thought lately: God isn’t a God of confusion, He’s a God of order. In 1 Corinthians 14:40, we’re reminded that things should be done in a "fitting and orderly way." As I look at my own life and work as **Karl Perkins**, I’ve realized that most of us don’t fail because we lack passion—we have that in spades. We fail because we’re missing the structural integrity to carry the weight of our dreams. We’ve got the heart, but maybe we haven’t built the framework to finish what we started. To me, **purpose driven work** is just a high form of worship, and that’s why I’m so obsessed with building a **founder operating system** that keeps us moving when the initial excitement fades.

## From the Build

I’ve been spending my mornings shipping some new modules within the [Avodah Dynamics](https://avodahdynamics.com) ecosystem. My heart is really for those high-capacity leaders who feel stuck in that exhausting "starting over" cycle. I’ve been documenting what I call the 100-Day Turnaround—a case study of a leader who had a beautiful vision but just needed the architecture to make it real. I’m also refining the Five Protocols of Kingdom Execution to help the builders in our community scale their impact without losing their peace or their soul.

It’s all part of the [Chazon (Vision)](https://chazon.avodahdynamics.com) framework I’m working on, where we map out the next decade together. Between updating the **founder notes** in my own digital brain and drafting new pieces for [Beautiful People](https://beautifulpeople.avodahdynamics.com) or checking in on the latest from The Wardrobe, I’m just trying to stay diligent about **documenting the journey**. I want to leave a clear roadmap for you to follow.

## A thought on work and money

Let’s be honest: **consistent execution** is what turns a hobby into a calling. It’s about developing a **builder mindset** that chooses systems over how we might feel on a random Tuesday. I’m a big believer in using an **AI second brain**—not to be flashy, but to take the mental clutter off your plate so your spirit can stay focused on what actually matters. When your **creative discipline** is systematized, you don’t have to wait for "inspiration" to hit; you just follow the protocol. It’s how I’m able to ship daily without burning out. It’s about building a bridge between Sunday’s revelation and Monday’s to-do list.

**Try this today:** Look at your schedule and find one thing you do over and over. Write down the steps and put it in your digital "second brain." Once it’s documented, you never have to waste energy "figuring it out" again.

If you want to push your discipline a bit further, come join us in the [Shevet Challenges](https://challenges.avodahdynamics.com).

## Something I'm listening to

I really believe the atmosphere you create dictates what you can produce. Lately, I’ve been leaning into the futuristic R&B and those ambient trap layers on [Avodah Sound](https://sound.avodahdynamics.com). I designed these tracks for those early hours when the house is quiet. They help me tune out the noise of anxiety. When you’re **building a legacy**, you need a sanctuary where your labor can feel like a prayer.

## For you

My **leadership philosophy** is pretty simple: we serve others by being excellent at what we do. In the marketplace, our **business systems** are just how we show we’re being good stewards of what we’ve been given. Think about Nehemiah—he prayed, absolutely, but then he organized. He set guards, he divided the work, and he watched the details. Our **builder mentality** has to reach into our spreadsheets and our sales goals, too. If our work is messy, it dims our testimony. Let’s make our 9-to-5 an altar. Let’s build something so excellent it can’t be ignored.

## Before I go

I want you to say this with me today: "I am a Kingdom Architect called to build with precision and power. I’m not here to coast. I’m installing systems that honor my calling and **building a legacy** through **work that matters**. My hands are steady, my spirit is focused, and I am built for the work."
